Perkasie Regional Authority 9th Street Water Main Replacement. Question Deadline 02/26/2024 at 1:00 PM ET The PennBid website allows for bidders to post questions and Engineer responses. The questions and responses shall be considered part of the bid documents. the questions will be answered by Contract PRA 24-02B includes the replacement of approximately 600 feet of water main along 8th and Race Street in Perkasie, PA. Water services will also be installed. Both projects will have alternates for lining the main with CIPP as opposed to replacing it. Contractor shall be responsible for providing all necessary erosion and sedimentation controls and will involve the restoration of roadway and lawn areas. No bidder may withdraw bid within SIXTY (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids. All prospective bidders are hereby notified that the Contract will require contractors and subcontractors to comply with certain federal and state statutory and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, the following: o Compliance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates. The project requires all prime contractors and subcontractors to pay all laborers and mechanics employed on the Project wages at rates not less than those prevailing on projects of a character similar in the locality; o Non-Discrimination. The Project requires all prime contractors and subcontractors to agree not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religious creed, age, handicap, disability, or gender; Mandatory Bonds and Guarantees - A certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid will be required. Bid guarantees, performance bonds, and payment bonds will be required in accordance with 40 C.F.R. 31.36(h). Bonds are required to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
