The City of The City of Fayetteville is accepting sealed bids from properly licensed construction firms Construction and completion of Yvonne Richardson Community Center Expansion/Addition. Questions regarding this bid should be addressed to Amanda Beilfuss, Sr. Purchasing Agent at abeilfuss@fayetteville-ar.gov. Bidder accepts the provisions as to liquidated damages in the event of failure to complete the Work within the total completion time. Liquidated damages in the sum of $300.00 for each consecutive day thereafter will be assessed. Bidder agrees that the Work shall be substantially completed within 300 consecutive calendar days from the date established in the written notice to proceed. Total completion (completed and ready for final payment) shall be 330 consecutive calendar days from the date established in the written notice to proceed. The bidder agrees to pay liquidated damages for each consecutive calendar day thereafter the total completion time Each bid exceeding $50,000 shall be accompanied by a cashier's check from a bank doing business in the State of Arkansas or a corporate bid bond for five (5) percent of the amount bid. In the event a bidder opts to submit a cashier's check for a bid bond, the actual physical cashier's check shall be delivered to the City prior to the deadline. A one hundred percent (100%) performance bond and separate payment bond is required with the contract awarded. A State of Arkansas Contractor's License and registration with the Arkansas Secretary of State are required and both shall be valid and current at the time of bid deadline. The City of Fayetteville reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject bids, and postpone the award of any Contract for a period which shall not exceed beyond ninety (90) days from the bid opening date.
