Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Center Point, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Demolition and/or salvage of existing site features, preparation of subgrade and paving of playground, furnish and install new playground equipment, construction of drainage improvements, reconstruction of ADA sidewalks with handrails, and consequential site work. The project may be constructed under two general contracts as follows: Bid Form #1: Site Development and Bid Form #2: Playground Surfacing and Equipment. Bids will be received and project may be constructed under two prime contracts. Bids must be on a lump sum basis. Work to commence on or about June 10, 2024. All site work is to be substantially complete on or before August 8, 2024. Final Acceptance of the Project shall be on or before August 16, 2024. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid submitted. Bid Security must be in the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders and submitted in a separate sealed envelope clearly labeled Bid Security. Bid Security must be in one of the following forms: Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Certified Share Draft or an approved Bond Form. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and in accordance with other requirements outlined in the Bid Documents. The Board of Education of the Center Point - Urbana Community School District reserves the right to conduct such investigations as allowed by law to assist in the evaluation of and to establish the responsibility and qualifications of the apparent low bidders to perform the work in accordance with the contract documents to its satisfaction within the prescribed time.
