The City of Pierre is soliciting proposals from firms interested in providing Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) Services for the City of Pierre for removal and replacement of the final clarifier mechanisms, concrete repair in the influent wet well, and other facility improvements at the Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 1100 S Buchanan Ave. Pierre, South Dakota 57501. The project scope involves design, development and construction services. CMR responsibilities include complying with relevant local building codes and State or Federal regulations including requirements by State Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (SDDANR). Generally, the CMR will be required to work with the design firm, perform constructability and budget reviews, and coordinate design phases; but will not, except where provided by law or the CMR Agreement, be responsible for design. The total project cost including design, construction, and construction administration services is estimated at $2,500,000. The CMR services will be contracted generally using American Institute of Architects (AIA A133-2009) documents. The Owner will work with the design and construction team for the most advantageous project scheduling, but in general it should fit within the time frame of June to December 2024 with a construction window of approximately 6 months. These dates may be updated to reflect lead time for the clarifier mechanism upon mutual agreement.
