City of Ottawa Transit Services Department (TSD) requires a contractor to perform the re-sloping (levelling) of hoist bays 9, 11 and 13, at the OC Transpo (OCT) Industrial Building Garage located at 755 Industrial Avenue, in accordance with the drawings and specifications referenced/attached herein. 1 The Work of this Contract is comprised of the Work as defined and detailed in the CCDC2 2020 entered into among The City of Ottawa and Contractor (where the definitions of terms therein shall apply to this document), the Contract documents, and any amendments thereto. 2 Work under this project generally consists of re-sloping existing concrete slabs in Hoist Bays 9, 11 and 13 at 755 Industrial Avenue and work required to support this re-sloping. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: 1 Installation of construction fencing with dust mitigation. 2 Partial depth removal the existing slabs. .3 Placement and finishing of a new ready-mix fibre reinforced concrete topping sloped to meet the Owner's operational requirements, including site mock-ups, by a specialty concrete floor finishing contractor under a single source approach. 4 Verification of slopes and elevations to the stipulated requirements. .3 Work is illustrated on drawings and described in more detail in subsequent specification sections. 4The Contractor is to coordinate all trades work. Substantial Performance and Completion (a) The successful Bidder shall achieve Substantial Performance of the Work no later than 30 June 2024. (b) The successful Bidder shall achieve Completion of the Work no later than 10 July 2024. A bid deposit of ten percent (10%) of the Contract Price, in the form of an electronic bid bond, is required with this RFT. The electronic bid bond must meet the requirements set out in (b) below. The Bidder agrees that should the Bid be withdrawn within the stated Bid Acceptance Period, the Bid deposit may be forfeited to the City. No interest shall be payable on any bid deposit.
