As of March 13,2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Concrete Cart Paths INVITATION TO SUBMIT BIDS 1. INTRODUCTION The City of Vidalia and the Sweet Onion Golf Authority are accepting sealed bids for concrete cart paths at Warmouth Sands Golf Course located on Ezra Taylor Road in Vidalia, GA 30474. 2. SPECIFICATIONS Approximately 15,000 linear feet of cart path will be installed. Please bid by the linear foot at six (6) feet of width and by the square yard for all other widths. Cart paths will measure four inches (4") deep by six feet (6') wide; width may be extended to ten feet (10') in green and tee areas. When necessary, pump station roads will be six inches (6") deep by ten feet (10') wide. 3. EXCAVATION The cart path routing will be graded by the owner. Excavate cart paths to the measurements shown on architect's plans. Remove all soft and yielding, organic, or other unsuitable material, replace with suitable material, and compact thoroughly in six-inch (6") layers. Compact finished cart path base to ninety-five percent (95%) density. 4. FORMS Forms will be constructed using one inch (1") surfaced plank of a width equal to the thickness of the proposed path. Stake and brace all forms securely. Before cart path material is spread, clean, and wet all forms; after pouring, leave forms in place for at least eighteen (18) hours. 5. CONCRETE PATHS If reinforcement is required, install according to concrete supplier's recommendations. Spread concrete uniformly, and mechanically vibrate to prevent voids, float excess water and other inert material from path surface. "Broom" finish paths ninety percent (90%) to direction of traffic. Install pre-molded expansion joints flush with the finished surface at twenty-foot (20") intervals. All concrete must be three thousand (3,000) psi strength at twenty-eight (28) days. No bid will be considered unless received in a timely manner and filed with the City of Vidalia prior to the time set forth above and accompanied by bid documents obtained from the City of Vidalia. Bids arriving after the designated time will not be accepted. No emailed or faxed bids will be accepted. All mailed bids must be received prior to the bid opening date. Bids may be hand-delivered in a clearly marked and sealed envelope. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. The City of Vidalia reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook and/or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals.
