Renovation of a municipal facility in St. John's, Newfoundland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Closing Time: 2:00 PM (NT) Question Acceptance Deadline May 29, 2024 02:00 PM NDT The building automation system at the Sir Humphrey Gilbert building has reached the end of its serviceable life. Installed in 1989 during a major retrofit, the system is over 30 years old and replacement parts are now obsolete. This was evidenced in 2022 when a control board failed, and a new replacement board could not be sourced. In this case BGIS was able to work with Honeywell to source a used replacement part however, there is no guarantee used replacement parts will be available for future failures. Additionally, the system is no longer able to hold memory and must be reprogrammed following any power failure. The existing zone level pneumatic controls are also at the end of their useful lives. Work of this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of all existing controllers, end devises, control panels and new OWS. Remove and replace existing DDC system, zone controls and VAV box controls. Providing remote access capability through Cradlepoint device.
