Reference Number 0000263914 Question Acceptance Deadline Feb 20, 2024 02:00 PM EST Potable Water System Flushing Plan This project is initiated to establish a procedure for flushing building water systems as per the PSPC 'Building Water Systems Minimum Requirements' and provide recommendations for using available technology to automate the process. The idea is to move away from manual flushing as it is time consuming for our technical resources. Reporting and monitoring options are also to be considered. The Contractor shall provide a detailed report outlining all the steps that are needed to complete the flushing of the water mains (Sequence of operation). All sections of domestic cold and hot water mains and branch lines must be flushed. The Contractor shall use the PSPC Building Water Systems Minimum Requirements flushing guidelines as a minimum and use any other codes and standards as needed to complete the report. In conjunction with the review of PSPC guideline, the Contractor shall outline flushing procedures that consider pipe diameter, flow rate etc. along with flushing frequency. The Contractor shall carry out a detailed site survey of the building potable water systems and speak to building technicians as needed to carry out the study. The study shall include costs for each option presented. The Contractor to provide a monthly estimate of water consumption based on the prescribed water flushing program. The Contractor shall propose options for flushing the potable water systems and shall provide options for automatic and programmable flushing systems that can be monitored remotely and systems that can respond immediately to issues, conserve water and save time as well that can safely and securely interface with building automation systems.
