The Scope of Work consists of mowing maintenance activities of the Carrollton Park Disc Golf Course. The bids shall include a total price for the above activities as well as a unit price for each mowing cycle. Contract is expected to be awarded in March and Work is anticipated to begin in April. The Contractor acting as an independent contractor, shall furnish at his/her own expense all supervision, labor, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, and necessary documentation required to perform and complete the Work in a good first class and workman like manner. The Work designated, described and required by these specifications and proposals shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents and any applicable City ordinances, county, state and federal laws. Contractor represents and warrants that he/she has special skills which qualify him/her to perform the Work and is not a party to any other agreement, written or oral, the performance of which would prevent or interfere with the performance, in whole or part, of the Work. The Contractor, acting as an independent contractor, shall do everything required by the Contract Documents. Contractor represents and warrants that he has special skills which qualify him to perform the Work in accordance with the Contract and that he is free to perform all such Work and is not a party to any other agreement, written or oral, the performance of which would prevent or interfere with the performance, in whole or in part, of the Work. Each Bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check, or a Bid Bond executed by the bidder and an approved Surety Company, and payable to the City, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the sum total of the bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive all informalities in Bids or waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days, subsequent to the specified time for receipt of Bids. No low bidder shall have a business expectancy merely because his bid is the lowest one received; until the contract has been awarded, no business expectancy exists. Bids may be withdrawn solely for demonstrated and verifiable clerical or typographical mistake, but not mistake of judgment. Bids will be considered unresponsive if they contain any material defect or deviation. The City reserves the right and sole discretion to reject any and all bids.
