Johnson County, Kansas, is seeking proposals from qualified Construction Managers to provide construction management services for a new 150,000 square foot Health Services Building to replace the existing Olathe Mental Health facility located at 1125 Spruce, Olathe, KS and the existing Olathe Health Services Building located at 11875 S. Sunset Drive, Olathe, KS. This project will serve to bring these departments together into a single facility focused on community health and wellness. Questions must be submitted via Ion Wave no later than 5:00 PM local time on February 23rd, 2024, to allow adequate time to answer and issue an addendum, if needed. The County is constructing a new 150,000-sf facility with an estimated project budget of $113,454,000 to house select services and programs provided by Johnson Countys Mental Health Department and the Department of Health and Environment and a commercial kitchen to support the Department of Aging & Human Services Nutrition Program. The new facility is intended to replace the existing Olathe Mental Health facility located at 1125 Spruce, Olathe, KS and the existing Olathe Health Services Building located at 11875 S. Sunset Drive, Olathe, KS. This project will serve to bring these departments together into a single facility focused on community health and wellness. A programming study was completed in October 2023 to develop project goals, a detailed space program, a conceptual site utilization strategy and proposed construction/demolition phasing plan, an updated project scope and an updated project budget.
