Construction is expected to start in fall 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Lima, Ohio intends to contract for professional architectural and civil engineering services in connection with our site on South Jackson St. (Parcel 37-3110-14-002.000) in Lima, Ohio. Firms interested in being considered for a contract to provide the required services should reply with a statement of qualifications no later than 4:00 PM on March 1st, 2024. Statements received after this deadline will not be considered. Statements of qualification should include: information regarding the firm's history, education and experience of owners and key personnel, expertise of the firm's current staff, the firm's experience preparing detailed design for community shelters and restroom improvement projects, availability of staff, the firm's equipment and facilities, references, and any previous work performed for the City of Lima. Statement of qualification shall be limited to a maximum of 15 pages. Responding firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications. Following this evaluation, the City of Lima will enter into contract negotiations with the most highly qualified firm. The preliminary project description is as follows: Name of Project: South Jackson Street Community Site Improvement Estimated cost of Construction Contract: $120,000 - $180,000 The selected firm is to be responsible for preparing plans and specifications for a proposed open air shelter with restroom facilities. Scope of work is anticipated to include existing conditions survey, site development including coordination of proposed utilities, evaluation of proposed alternatives for the shelter and restroom facilities, preparation of construction plans and specifications for permitting and construction bidding, and on-going services during construction including submittal and change order reviews.
