The construction timeline is not yet available. _______________________________________________________________ CANCER CENTER PROGENITOR LAB EXPANSION Description of Work: The project expands space in the existing progenitor lab located in the Cancer Center South Building on the Sacramento Campus. The Progenitor Cell Lab supports regenerative medicine using cellular therapies that help provide advanced care to cancer patients. The project scope includes providing additional space for the processing, freezing, and storing of stem cell products, which is critical for maintaining accreditation with the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT); consolidating the waiting room and reception functions; improving electrical and data communication systems in support of medical equipment; increasing capacity in the mechanical system; refreshing finishes in the space; and installing equipment. Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Lump Sum Base Proposal, excluding alternates, shall accompany each bid. The surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the bid deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in the California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120) In addition, the University is committed to promoting and increasing participation of small business enterprises (SBEs) and disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs) relating to all goods and services covered under the awarded agreement, subject to any and all applicable obligations under state and federal law, and University policies.
