These projects are meant to improve student, staff, and visitor safety while maintaining the community and residential feel of buildings that students consider their home. Detailed scope of work from the security study will be made available to the successful proposer. Key Considerations University of Minnesota Design Standards Coordination with the University's Insurer (FM Global) Building egress and life safety systems. Coordination with PSEC and OIT systems. Long lead time equipment o Installation of turnstile security gates, live feed security camera and display system at the building lobby. o Replacement of storefront door and window system at the building lobby. o Modifications to existing reception desk. o Installation of video intercom access system at entry doors. o Installation of door contacts at exterior doors. o Installation of network connected security cameras o Access control at select doors and elevator. 17th Avenue Hall will be used to house conference and event guests summer of 2024.
