Regent Park Building Facade / Envelope Improvement. TIMELINE: A Request For Proposals has been issued by the owner. The awarded proponent will provide Consulting services for the the Building Façade/Envelope improvement. The Consultant's scope of work shall include the following, which is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all services; 1. The prime objective of the Building Façade/Envelope Consultant is to provide and recommend design parameters, methods, and feasibilities (both financial and constructability) to the Owner, the Owner's Integrated Design Team, and the Owner's Construction Manager regarding the architectural details and systems proposed by the building's designers. 2. During the schematic design phase, this Consultant shall assist and provide various building façade/envelope options to the Owner and the Integrated Design Team in making design decisions and solutions for optimizing energy performance while also achieving cost- effectiveness for meeting the applicable Toronto Green Standards (Version 4 Tier 2). 3. During the design development phase, this Consultant shall review the building design (including plans and elevations) and its proposed envelope and cladding materials and assemblies. 4. During the construction documentation phase, this Consultant shall assist the Design Team in developing the building envelope details, which may include providing details and/or sketch mark-ups of the Architect's preliminary details. 5. During the construction phase, this Consultant will carry out tasks necessary to ensure general conformance with the construction contract documents and best construction practices related to the building's cladding.
