Site work for a water / sewer project in Belmont, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work includes the construction of approximately, 1,600 linear feet of new 8-inch ductile iron water main, transfer and installation of water services, installation of fire hydrants, abandonment of existing water main, and all other appurtenant work on Cushing Avenue and Knox Street. A. The work covered by this section of the specifications consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work required for the prevention of environmental pollution during and as a result of construction operations under this contract. B. The requirements set forth in this section of the specifications apply to cross-country areas, river and stream crossings, and construction in and adjacent to wetlands, unless otherwise specifically stated. C. Prior to commencement of work, the Contractor shall meet with representatives of the Engineer to develop mutual understandings relative to compliance of the environmental protection program.
