Site work for a water / sewer project in Levittown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Sealed Proposals will be received by Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority for Furnish and provide services for replacement of existing water mains for lower bucks county joint municipal authority, levittown, bucks county, Pennsylvania. Contractors desiring to bid shall have the experience of successfully completing at least three (3) similar size projects in the last five (5) years. Each bidder will be required to submit, with their bid, the completed Qualification Form contained in the contract documents. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or a Surety's Consent and a Bid Bond payable to Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid. The said Surety shall be bound to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, thereafter required on the specified Bond Forms included in the Contract Documents. Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informality, or to accept any proposal deemed to be most favorable to the interests of the Authority. No bidder may withdraw their bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the bid opening. Scope- The scope of work under this contract shall include furnishing and providing required qualified personnel/labor and equipment for the removal of existing water mains and replacing with new class 52 or 54 Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) water main as directed by the Owner. The scope of work includes but is not limited to; o excavation of earth/any concrete/bituminous road/driveways to remove existing water main; o removal of existing: water main, fire hydrants, valve or tee, valves and disconnection of service lines; o installation of new, properly chlorinated, class 52 or 54 DIP water main (in the same trench where the existing water main was removed), all required fittings, tees and valves to connect the new water main to the existing water main, fire hydrants and all stone bedding as directed by Owner; o connection of existing house service lines/pipe to newly installed DIP water main; o backfill and compact the trench, when required. The Owner will be responsible for sample collection, water quality testing, hauling and disposal of all excavated materials including existing pipe, valves, fittings, etc. The Owner will supply and deliver all required materials to the job site such as bedding materials, pipe, valves, tees, fittings, fire hydrants. The Owner will also be responsible for the removal of any existing trees if needed as well as the restoration of the site. The Contractor shall be able to provide and continue providing the required qualified personnel and equipment uninterrupted once the existing water line is removed and until the new water main is installed as required under this contract. The Contractor's personnel shall work alongside of, under the direction of, and under the supervision of the Owner's personnel.
