The work to be performed under this contract consists of a complete Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for the Owners water wells, tanks, and appurtenant items. The intent of this project is to provide a "hybrid" communication system that combines the existing licensed VFH radio network to communicate between controlling elevated storage tanks and dedicated wells with the addition of a cellular network to provide communication between elevated storage tanks and the Central Processing Site as illustrated on the Construction Drawings and Specifications. Specific items of work shall be as authorized and directed by the Engineer upon examination of field conditions and the Engineer shall control the sequence of work. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with these Specifications, the Construction Drawings and regulations of governmental agencies having authority over this project. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check or cashier's check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be furnished by each Bidder as required by the Contract Documents. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities and equipment, material and/or supply needs.
