Renovation of a mixed-use development in Santa Maria, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Install District-Provided HVAC Equipment at Alvin Elementary School and El Camino JHS Pursuant to Public Contract Code 20111.5, only General Contractors prequalified by the District will be eligible to submit a bid for this Project. All first-tier Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Subcontractors must also be on the District's prequalified Contractors list. The Prequalification process is coordinated through online Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) Participation Requirement State law and regulations adopted by the State Allocation Board (SAB) require that State-funded contracts have participation goals of 3% for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises as defined in Public Contract Code Section 10115.1. To be considered, a FIRM is required to meet the participation goals or make a good-faith effort to meet the DVBE participation goals as outlined in the regulations. In awarding the contract, the District shall consider the firm's compliance with SAB statutes and regulations related to DVBE participation.
