When the water treatment facility was constructed eight concrete adsorber basins were constructed. Only five basins were upfitted at that time. This project includes upfitting the remaining three basins 4, 7 and 8. The Work to be performed under the Project consists of furnishing all labor, materials equipment, tools, and supplies for upfitting the existing adsorber basins 4, 7 and 8.The work includes primarily mechanical and electrical, instrumentation and control (E, I&C) components. The principal project elements generally include the following: o Mechanical, including: o Installation of new underdrains in each adsorber basin o Installation of UV-254 analyzers o Installation of a Total Organic (TOC) analyzer o Installation of new small diameter sample piping o Installation of new small diameter flow valves o Polyurethane injection grouting to repair leaks in Adsorber 7 basin and gullet walls o Installation of owner-supplied GAC media in Adsorbers 4, 7 and 8 o Disinfection o Electrical, instrumentation and control, and security to include: o Power and control wiring for new control valve actuators and analyzers o New discrete input/output (DI/DO) module terminal blocks and DI/DO modules o Jacobs Engineering will perform the programming and the contractor will be responsible for integration.
