Renovation of a municipal facility in Winchester, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 7,500-square-foot municipal facility.

The Contractor shall be responsible for measuring all surfaces for the purchase of materials needed. The approximate square footage of the fourth floor is 7500 square feet. The Contractor shall be licensed and insured and hold a Virginia Class A Contractor's license. Materials and work procedures must comply with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations. The contractor shall be responsible for the moving of all furniture, filing cabinets, etc. and putting them back in place. The Contractor shall provide primer, paint, equipment, labor, supervision, and all other necessary supplies to perform the work. The Contractor shall be responsible for the removal of all wallpaper and make all repairs to drywall ensuring that the painting surfaces are free from dust, oil, grease, dirt, mildew, and other materials and properly prepare the surface to receive the paint, ensuring complete and even coverage and adequate adhesion of the paint to the surface. The contractor shall paint all the walls and the trim around the doors and windows with Sherman Williams or equivalent latex paint with standard color used by the County. The contractor will maintain a general liability policy with $1,000,000 combined single limits with a $2,000,000 aggregate. Coverage is to be on an occurrence basis with an insurer licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Virginia The contractor will maintain workers' compensation coverage in compliance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The coverage must have statutory limits and be with an insurer licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The insurer must have an A. M. Best rating of A- or better. As an alternative, it is acceptable for the contractor to be insured by a group self insurance association that is licensed by the Virginia Bureau of Insurance. The contractor will also carry employers liability insurance with a limit of at least $100,000 bodily injury by accident/$500,000 bodily injury by disease policy limit/$100,000 bodily injury by disease each employee. The County expressly reserves the right to cancel this IFB and/or reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in the bids received, and to accept a bid from the lowest responsive and responsible bidder which is deemed to be in the best interest of the County
