This project requires 21% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0.07. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on April 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase II engineering services are required for the preparation of contract plans, TS&L plans, structure plans, specifications, cost estimates, supplemental surveying, geotechnical services, lighting design, traffic signals, all applicable permits, and all other work to complete the improvements for I-55 Interchange (FAI 55) at Illinois Route 126. The project's scope includes reconstruction of a new diamond interchange at Illinois Route 126 with the realignment of IL 126 as a two-way roadway west of I-55. The improvement includes, but not limited to, bridge widening, bridge replacement, proposed retaining walls, ramp construction, traffic signal installation, drainage improvements, and all other related work to complete Phase II contract plans.
