Site work for a water / sewer project in Mount Prospect, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Scope of Work Includes Approximately 8,912 Linear Feet of Storm Sewer Lining in Various Sizes of Cured-in-place Pipe Lining (Cipp). Rehabilitation and Restoration of the Structural Integrity Of the Existing Sanitary Pipes by the Inversion and Curing of a Resin- Impregnated Tube Process, and All Related and Ancillary Work. The Work Contained in This Project is Located Within Easements or Rights-of-ways. The Method of Contractor Selection Has Not Been Determined at This Time. All Work Under This Bid and the Resulting Contract Shall Comply With the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 Ilcs 130/0.01 Et Seq. And the Other Applicable Laws and Ordinances. The Village Must Meet an Overall Business Enterprise Program (Bep) Goal of 28% Outlined With the Following Participation Goals Applicable to the Project Before Construction Is Completed: A. Eighteen Percent (18%) of the Total Amount of Reimbursement Provided for the Project Must Be Applied to Work Performed by Minority-owned Business Enterprises (Mbes or Wmbes) B. Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Reimbursement Provided for the Project Must Be Applied to Work Performed by Women-owned Businesses (Wbes or Wmbes). Offers May Not Be Withdrawn for a Period of Ninety (90) Days After the Bid Date Without the Consent of the Board of Trustees. Length of Contract. This Contract Shall Be in Effect for the Year 2025 and Shall Remain In Effect Until 2025 Unless Terminated by Either Party Under the Conditions Specified in Section 10, Contract Termination. Bid Deposit; Surety. A Bid Deposit in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Bid Amount, Payable to the Village, is Required Unless Otherwise Stated in the Bid Package. The Deposit Must Be in the Form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or a Bank Cashier's Check.All Bid Performance Deposit Checks Will Be Retained by the Village Until the Bid Award is Made, at Which Time the Checks Will Be Promptly Returned to the Unsuccessful Bidders. The Bid Performance Deposit Check of the Successful Bidder Will Be Retained Until Surety Bonding Requirements Have Been Satisfied and Proof of Insurance Coverage is Provided. Performance Bond. Upon Submission of the Executed Contract to the Village, Contractor Shall Furnish to the Village a Surety Bond in the Amount One Hundred and Ten Percent (110%) of the Bid for the Faithful Performance of the Contract and to Indemnify the Village Against Loss. Maintenance Bond. A Maintenance Bond or Maintenance Letter of Credit is Required. This Maintenance Bond or Maintenance Letter of Credit Amount Shall Consist of Ten Percent (10%) of the Final Project Cost; It Shall Be Posted By the Contractor With He Village Upon Completion of All Work; and It Shall Be Valid and Effective for a Period of Two (2) Years After the Final Acceptance of Such Work by the Village for the Purpose of Guaranteeing Against and Securing the Correction of Any Defect in Material or Workmanship Furnished for Such Improvements, Latent in Character and Not Discernable at the Time of Final Inspection or Acceptance by the Village of Mount Prospect.
