Reference Number 0000264230 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/02/15 11:59:00 PM EST The City of Ottawa, hereinafter referred to as the City, is seeking proposal submissions to provide professional engineering services for the provision of construction services, including inspection and miscellaneous design. The City of Ottawa's Road Rehabilitation Program, delivered on behalf of Asset Management by Infrastructure Services - Design & Construction, provides for resurfacing and rehabilitation of the City's roadway network. It is required to extend the life of the infrastructure and prevent roadway failures requiring more extensive reconstruction. The resurfacing program also includes enhancements for new paved shoulders, pavement marking and signage, pavement safety edges, and renewal of existing paved shoulders for selected roads that meet program criteria. The 2023 Road Rehabilitation program contained 15 individual projects, and this annual workload is expected to continue, if not increase, into the near future. The City is seeking a consultant for the provision of a Construction Services provider. This includes Contract Inspection, Contract Administration assistance, and engineering design services assistance for multiple projects. This assignment would include multiple road rehabilitation inspection assignments, as well as will provide design assistance for various Project-Lite projects. Each Construction Services assignment will be a two (2) year term (one-year initial term with a one-year extension term) and will include up to six (6) individual inspection assignments annually to support the Road Rehabilitation and ProjectLite programs, up to an annual upset limit of $1.25M (total $2.5M over two years). Depending on the classification of the roadways being rehabilitated, it is common for the construction and inspection to occur during off-peak traffic hours, at night, and on weekends. A minimum of two senior inspectors is typically provided for every road rehabilitation project.
