The City of Algona is accepting sealed bids for Ash Tree removal of 64 Ash trees in calendar year 2024 from the city right of ways and alleys. Bid shall include cost for removing the tree, grinding the stump, filling the hole with black dirt and seeding the area. The trees generally range in size from 9 to 31 dbh. Trees to be removed have been marked with an "X" for review. The number of trees may increase or decrease depending upon the bid award prices, but bid award will be considered on the trees listed. Only bids from licensed contractors authorized to work in the State of Iowa will be considered. Bid must contain contractor's license information as well as Certificate of Liability Insurance in an amount not less than the following: $1,000,000 Each Occurrence $2,000,000 General Aggregate $1,000,000 Auto Liability Workers Compensation State Statutory Limits Contract will be awarded based on the lump sum price to the lowest responsive-responsible bidder. The City of Algona reserves the right to reject any and all bids; as well as the right to waive technicalities in bids received.
