Renovation of a parking garage in Severn, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, etc., necessary to demolish and remove a two-story house, an outbuilding, a garage, and any scattered debris at the properties known as 19 Gambrills house. The property is located at 19 Gambrills Road, Severn, Maryland, 21144 in Anne Arundel County. The project classification for this solicitation is: Under $100,000.00 If you have any questions regarding this solicitation, contact the Procurement Officer, Perry Otwell at (410)260-8911 or by email at: perry.otwell@maryland.gov. Please submit all questions regarding this project in writing by emailing Shenika Jackson, Shenika.jackson2@maryland.gov. All questions shall be submitted by February 26, 2024, by 2:00 p.m. to allow time for the Project Manager to respond to the questions. The Contractor agrees that the price will be firm for a time period of ninety (90) calendar days from the bid opening date to execution of the contract by the State. The work shall be completed within 60 calendar days from the date of notice to proceed. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquidated damages of $150.00 per calendar day as specified in the "General Conditions". Remove and properly dispose ofthe 1 main building, outbuilding, garage, and widely scattered debris to a distance of 50' (fifty feet) from the listed property, including the abandonment of 1 fuel tank, 1 septic tank, and 1 well.-Removal of driveways is not included in the project. There is >1% Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) that has been found in the house, outbuildings, and garage that will need to be properly removed in accordance with the specifications. See attached Hazardous Materials Report for more details Remove abandoned above-ground heating oil storage tank to include all piping, venting, etc. Proper removal and disposal of contaminated water, fuel, and sludge. Test soil to an appropriate depth in accordance with MDE regulations. Removing and disposing of contaminated soil and installing common backfill will be based on using Unit Pricing. 1. Unit Pricing #1 is for the removal offuel oil from the fuel tank. 2. Unit Pricing #2 is for testing the soil for contamination 3. Unit Pricing #3 is for excavation and disposal of contaminated soil and backfilling with common fill dirt. Site restoration and stabilization, including all needed fill, rough grading, topsoil, and final grading; and establishment of vegetative cover at all work-related, site disturbances.
