Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fairport, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Area Is Highly Visible And Frequented By Large Volumes Of Patrons And Visitors Daily. The Contractor Must Be Aware And Cognoscente Of The Project Area And Environment He/she Will Be Working In. The Desire For Consistent Communication And Minimization Of Negative Impacts To The Extent Possible During Construction Should Be The Consensus And Goal Of All Parties Involved. The Village Will Assist In Coordination And Communication Between All Involved Parties To Achieve A Productive Working Environment. The Project Will Consist Of General Consist Of Milling And Repaving Operations, Removal And Replacement Of Existing Curbing And Sidewalk, Removal And Relocation Of Existing Utilities, Maintenance And Protection Of Vehicular And Pedestrian Traffic, And Restoration. In Addition, The Contractor Is Responsible For His/her Quantity Take-offs. The Completed Bid Shall Include An Itemized Quantity And Price List And Shall Be Submitted In A Lump Sum Form Proposal To The Owner. Please Refer To Instruction To Bidders, Item 27 For Providing Unit Price Cost For Bid Alternates 1 & 2. Hard Copies, If Necessary, May Be Obtained Upon Request. Each Bidder Must Deposit, With His Bid, Security In An Amount Not Less Than 5% Of The Amount Of The Bid, In The Form, And Subject To The Conditions, Set Forth In The Instructions To Bidders upon Acceptance Of His Bid, If The Successful Bidder Fails To Enter Into A Contract Pursuant To The Requirements Of The Owner, Then The Check, Deposited As Aforesaid, And The Money Standing To The Credit Of The Same, Shall Be Forfeited To The Village Of Fairport As Liquidated Damages, Or The Payment Of The Bond Enforced For The Benefit Of The Owner. Guarantee Bonds, In The Form Of A Performance Bond, Labor And Materials Payment Bond, And Maintenance Bond, In An Amount Equal To 100% Of The Bid, Will Be Required. Bidders Should Not Include, In Their Bid Proposal, Sales And Compensating Use Taxes On The Cost Of Materials Which Are To Be Incorporated Into This Project. The Village Of Fairport Reserves The Right To Waive Any Informality In, Or To Reject Any Or All Bids, Or To Make An Award To Other Than The Low Bidder. It Also Reserves The Right To Limit The Amount Of The Award To A Sum Authorized For The Project. The Village Of Fairport Encourages Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) Participation In This Project. The Village Of Fairport Encourages All Qualified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) To Submit Bids On This Project. The Village Also Encourages The Use Of DBE's As Subcontractors.
