The City of Canton, Georgia invites the submission of proposals from experienced and qualified contractors to provide renovation services for the Etowah River Park and Brown Park Restrooms. Questions concerning the request for proposals should be directed in writing and submitted to the Public Works Director, Scott Hooper via facsimile (770) 720-7184 or email to scott.hooper@cantonga.gov. Questions must be received no later March 1st, 2024. All questions and responding answers will be posted to the city website online by 4:00pm on March 4, 2024 prior to the proposal deadline. Bid Proposal: The proposed bid for the project(s) shall be presented in a single, separately sealed and labeled envelope. The proposed bid amount shall be presented in the format provided. The cost proposal shall reflect all necessary construction costs. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond prepared on an accepted form, duly executed by the bidder, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. Performance Bond (100%). CONTRACT PERIOD The time allowed for substantial completion is 90 days, and the time allowed for completion and readiness for final payment is 120 days from the date a notice to proceed is issued by the City of Canton. All bids will remain subject to acceptance for 90 days after the date of the bid opening, but the Owner may, at its sole discretion, release any bid and return the bid security prior to that date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and readvertise.
