Furnishing of all supplies, materials, equipment, labor, and superintendence to: Platte West Water Production Facility Perimeter Fence (East). A Proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the "Metropolitan Utilities District of Omaha" in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid, including unit price totals, drawn on a Federal Reserve System member bank, or by a bid bond in a like amount on the form supplied by the District and executed by a surety authorized to engage in the surety business in the State of Nebraska ("bid security"). The District shall retain the bid security as liquidated damages if the Bidder is awarded the Contract and does not enter into the Contract and file with the District the required Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond within ten (10) days after notification of the Contract award. The District shall return the bid security to all except the three lowest Bidders within fifteen (15) days after the bid opening. The District shall return the bid security of the three lowest Bidders within forty-eight (48) hours after the executed Contract and surety bonds have been delivered to and accepted by the District.
