The El Paso County Parks and Community Services Department manages various parks, trails, open spaces, and conservation easement properties across the County. Some of these properties are in natural or sensitive areas which require specialized management to minimize impacts from construction projects, maintenance, and public use. Large mechanical equipment is not feasible in these situations. Small equipment, hand equipment and/or tools, and hand labor becomes necessary for these projects instead. In addition, there is a desire to promote environmental stewardship and volunteerism within the County. This is an important component of the El Paso County Parks and Community Services Department, which historically relies on volunteers to complete various projects such as single-track trail construction and maintenance, site reclamation and revegetation, and other maintenance tasks across the County Park system. The County reserves the right to reject any price adjustments submitted by the Vendor and/or to terminate the contract with the Vendor based on such price adjustments.
