Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in San Dimas, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This project consists of roadway milling, unclassified excavation, ARHM paving, asphalt concrete paving and striping and pavement markings. This project also includes removal and replacement of Portland cement concrete curb and gutter, ADA corner ramps,sidewalk, and an alley intersection. The engineer's estimate for the cost of the work is $1,000,000. The City has obtained approval from the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA). This contractor will be required to pull all required right-of-way encroachment permits and comply with all SCRRA permit conditions. Bond Notes: Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security referred to in the contract documents and by a list of proposed subcontractors. Evidence of insurance, a performance bond, and a labor and materials bond as specified in the contract documents will be required prior to execution of the contract. Pursuant to the Labor Code ofthe State of California, the Director of IndustrialRelations has determined the general prevailing rate of wages and employer payments for health and welfare, vacation, pension and similar purposes applicable to the work to be done. This rate and scale are on file with the Department of Public Works, and copies will be made available to any interested party on request. The contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and the subcontractors under him, must pay not less than these rates for this area to all workers employed in the execution of the contract. At the time of the award of the contract, the successful bidder shall possess a Class A contractor's license or a combination of Specialty Class C 12 earthwork and Paving Contractor's licenses sufficient to cover all of the work to be performed by him. Only a contractor registered with the Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to submit a bid. Furthermore, only subcontractors registered with the DIR to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to perform workor labor or renderserviceundersubcontract to the subject contractor, orbe listed on the bid. Further, the project issubject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. In accordance with Public ContractCode section 22300, the bidder who is awarded the contractmay substitute securities forretention moneys withheld by a public agency to ensure performance under this contract. The procedure and requirements for substituting said securities is set forth in Public Contract Code section 22300 which is incorporated by this reference as set forth herein.
