EV Chargers - Fleet - Government Use Q&A Deadline 02/19/2024 5:00 PM (PST) The City is requesting proposals from Vendors (Contractors) that would either furnish, install, operate, and maintain city-owned EV charging infrastructure or lease the equipment to the City on a monthly stipend basis. The City is beginning to transition its vehicle fleet to electric vehicles. The City desires to expand its portfolio of city and micro-transit charging stations. Furthermore, the City will issue a separate RFP for the public-facing component. The vendor can submit a proposal for either or both RFPs. This RFP is for the Fleet and Government use components only.. The City seeks to: Drive down greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector, both municipal and citywide, by encouraging the adoption of EVs by providing charging infrastructure. Earn revenue where possible to support additional sustainability initiatives. Streamline/minimize staff time needed to manage EV infrastructure. TENTATIVE AWARD DATE: April 23, 2024 The City of South Lake Tahoe requests proposals from qualified Vendors (Contractors) to provide furnishing, installation, and operations and maintenance services related to Electric Vehicle charging services. The City of South Lake Tahoe reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or to make no award at all, to extend the period for accepting proposals, to advertise the RFP at any time, and to waive any minor irregularities in any proposals.
