This project consists of landscape maintenance at six (6) parks in Union City. Maintenance shall include fertilization, soil building, hardwood red mulch, pruning, mowing, weed/insect/disease control, litter control and any other procedures outlined in the project specifications. In addition to maintenance, a lump sum allocation is established for the Bidder to install landscape improvements in some of the parks, if and where directed by the City of Union City. Landscape maintenance New Jersey and acceptable to the municipality, and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of City of Union City for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond and payment bond for the full amount of this project and all labor is required The Owner or the Engineer reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before furnishing proposal forms or specifications, or before awarding the Contract. Proposals for this Contract will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract documents The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner. Further, the Owner reserves the right to abandon the project and reject the bids entirely if any legal or state or federal administrative action is taken against the Owner which could delay or jeopardize the project from commencing. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications
