Request for Information (RFI) Supply of Road Salt Introduction Canoe Procurement Group of Canada (CANOE) is seeking market intelligence from salt manufacturers for the supply of road salt to ensure efficient and effective winter road maintenance for its members. This RFI is intended to gather detailed information about the products and services offered by manufacturers in the road salt industry. It is the first step in our procurement process, aiming to identify potential vendors capable of meeting our members needs. Objective The objective of this RFI is to understand the capabilities, variety of offerings, distribution model, pricing models, and delivery options if any of road salt manufacturers. This information will assist CANOE in planning and executing a more detailed procurement strategy, potentially leading to a Request for Proposal (RFP). This RFI is not a competitive procurement and will not result into the award of an agreement or prequalification of vendors. Canoe expressly reserves the right, at its discretion, to: seek subsequent information or initiate discussions with any potential supplier, including potentials suppliers that did not respond to this RFI; elect to proceed by way of open solicitation call where all potential Vendors, including those that did not respond to this RFI, are eligible to compete for the award of a contract for the supply of any good or service; and elect not to procure the good or service that is the subject of this RFI.
