Description of Major Units of Work: Transporting Salvagable Material - 5,741 Cuyd Common Excavation - 13,869 Cuyd Embankment - 8,128 Cuyd Concrete (Grade 4.0) - 92 Cuyd Concrete (Grade 4.0) (Ae) - 25 Cuyd Reinforcing Steel (Grade 60) - 4,660 Lbs Reinforcing Steel (Grade 60) (Epoxy Coated) - 13,440 Lbs Hma Commercial Grade (6.5") - 5,456 Tons Aggregate Base (Ab-3) (8") - 16,802 Sqyd Aggregate Shoulder (as-1) (6.5") - 4,487 Sqyd Surfacing Material (6") (Ab-3) - 323 Tons BID SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid (including alternates), made payable to the County Clerk of Pottawatomie County, Kansas. Question Deadline 02/23/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to Engineer (either the Design Engineer or the County Engineer as defined in Article 2 of the Agreement) in writing at least 10 calendar days prior to the opening of Bids. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
