Site work and paving for a civil project in Tuscola, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Work of this Contract is generally described as replacement of an existing prefabricated packaged metering and chlorination station with a new prefabricated packaged metering and chlorination station. The project consists of supplying the labor, equipment, and materials necessary to install a new foundation and prefabricated packaged station adjacent to the existing and providing new suction and discharge piping as needed to connect the new station and then removal of the existing old station and piping as required. Also included are related valves, aggregate pavement replacement, site work, seeding, and other services and items of construction. BID REJECTION/ACCEPTANCE: The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive informalities in bidding, or to accept the Bid or Bids, which best serves the interests of the Owner. BID SECURITY: Bid Security in the amount of not less than 5% of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. CONTRACT SECURITY: The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount equal to the Contract Price. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A pre-bid conference will be held prior to the Bid opening on February 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time at the Tuscola City Hall, 214 N. Main Street, Tuscola, IL 61953, to familiarize Bidders with this Project
