Regent Park Phase 4 & 5 Utility and infrastructure design. TIMELINE: Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) has issued this Request for Proposals (RFP)for qualified Electrical Engineers to submit Proposals to conduct the necessary hydro and utility investigations and design for the construction of buildings and infrastructure on the subject lands, referred to as Regent Park Phases 4 & 5. While the immediate need is for Phase 4, this Consultant shall conduct a comprehensive analysis and taken into account the entire Phase 4 and 5 for the planning of electrical hydro requirements. This Consultant shall commence with the undertaking a portion of Phase 4 demolition which is currently underway where there are hydro distribution assets in the vicinity of one of the buildings to be demolished feeding the adjacent buildings east of Sackville. This shall include working with Toronto Hydro to determine supply points and infrastructure extension to support demand growth in future phases. This will include detailed planning supports for the subdivision components, temporary (construction) and permanent power requirements of individual buildings or sites, and RPEI community energy service. Given the age of the development, existing site records may not be complete or available, the successful Proponent shall conduct detailed study and site investigations, in addition to examine all available records as necessary to gain a total and complete understanding of existing external (in ROW) and internal (within TCHC property lines) hydro and electrical distribution systems. Since the project is multiphase, the Consultant shall optimize existing infrastructure and avoid multiple relocation of infrastructures in the planning process. If relocations of infrastructures are required to service existing buildings due to phasing, the new (relocated) infrastructures shall be designed to be permanent and not temporary. Below is a list of minimum requirements that shall be included as part of the scope of work for this Consultant and shall not be considered as comprehensive. For clarity, all requirements and responsibilities typically required and/or expected to be performed by this Consultant are included as part of this Consultant's scope of work and contract. The limits of this insurance shall be for an amount not less than $2,000,000. The party responsible for a specific claim under this policy shall be responsible for the deductible. The general liability insurance shall name as additional insureds in respect of liability arising out of the performance of the services: "Toronto Community Housing Corporation, as well as its respective subsidiaries, related entities, affiliates, partners, members, managers, directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives", and shall provide for a waiver of any right of subrogation of the insurers against TCHC, and that the required insurance may not be cancelled without thirty (30) calendar days prior written notice to TCHC. Enquiries must be submitted to the owner prior to February 23 2024 at 12:00:00 AM EST.
