In submitting your proposal, you must comply with these instructions. Brief Project Description: Yuba County is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to repair the existing fiberglass insulation in the ceiling of our Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center Multi-Purpose Room located at 1023 14th Street, Marysville, CA, and then install a barrier to protect it from future damage from baseballs, basketballs, or other flying objects. This work is subject to payment of prevailing wages under Labor Code Section 1720 et. seq. and 1770 et. seq., which require the payment of prevailing wage rates and the performance on certain "public works" and "maintenance" projects, as defined by the Prevailing Wage Laws, and if total compensation is $1,000 or more, contractor agrees, to fully comply with such Prevailing Wage Laws, as applicable. Construction Schedule: Funding for this project is budgeted for fiscal year 2023-2024; work to be completed before June 30, 2024. Work may be scheduled at any time of the year. Interested Contractors must clearly delineate their experience in similar projects in the cover letter of the proposal, and highlight their capacity to complete the work within the construction schedule. Question Deadline 02/20/2024 All questions must be submitted in writing to Administrative Services, administrativeservices@co.yuba.ca.us Repair all damaged sections ofinsulation with white Tyvek Home Wrap, or equivalent. o Procure and install a durable barrier that will protect the insulation from being damaged by objects thrown into the ceiling. o Type and material of ceiling barrier shall be at the discretion ofthe contractor. o Installation method of ceiling barrier shall be at the discretion ofthe contractor. o Barrier shall be opaque and not block the majority ofthe light from the skylights. o Barrier shall not cover the fluorescent light fixtures or cameras mounted on the ceiling. o Consideration shall be given to allow the barrier to be removed in sections should maintenance work need to be done above the barrier.
