Reference Number 0000342517 The Town of New Castle is seeking bids for the principal work of replacing the existing cast iron water main at Pine Cliff Road and Ridge Drive, and Meadow Lane with new cement lined ductile iron pipe. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 10 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Maintenance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % -- Each Bidder must furnish, with their bid, Bid Security in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the bid. This security may be in the form of a certified check payable to the "Town of New Castle", a bid bond or cash. If a contract award is made, the Bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds from an acceptable surety company in the total amount of the awarded contract in the form included in the Specifications and Bid/Contract Documents. Please note that a Maintenance Bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the total amount of the bid will be required for a period of two (2) years. *The Town of New Castle reserves the right to waive what it deems to be informalities relating to a specific bid, to waive what it deems to be technical defects, irregularities and omissions relating to a specific bid, to reject any or all bids, to request additional information from any Bidder, to re-advertise for new bids or to accept the whole or part of any bid which in the opinion of the Town Board of the Town of New Castle is in the best interest of the Town of New Castle.
