M3168 - HVAC Replace Freezer & Various Condensing Units, Building 4 Location/Physical Address : Sing Sing CF 354 Hunter Street Ossining, NY 10562-5498 County: Westchester Estimated Cost: $2,000,000 - $3,000,000 OGS hereby establishes an overall goal of 30% for MWBE participation, 15% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises ("MBE") participation and 15% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises ("WBE") participation (based on the current availability of qualified MBEs and WBEs) for the HVAC Trade and an overall goal of 6% for MWBE participation, 3% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises ("MBE") participation and 3% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises ("WBE") participation (based on the current availability of qualified MBEs and WBEs) for the Electrical Trade. The total contract goal can be obtained by utilizing any combination of MBE and /or WBE participation for subcontracting and supplies acquired under this Contract. Trades with 0% goals are encouraged to make "good faith efforts" to promote and assist in the participation of MWBEs on the Contract for the provision of services and materials. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The work involves the replacement of existing freezer's and cooler's refrigeration equipment (evaporators and condensers), including piping, electrical power and controls as well as associated removals, cutting and patching Work on a freezer or cooler cannot begin until the previous worked on unit is back in service (to include start-up, testing and demonstration). The existing multiple compressor/condenser rack shall remain in service until all evaporators are replaced. 1. remove ex. freezers 133 bf and 134 sbf and get space ready for relocation of dry storage goods to the area. remove freezer panels and built up flooring. patch concrete underneath built up flooring so that it is flush with the existing concrete floor. replace plumbing piping serving first floor above. provide a locked security gate in wall opening of removed freezers. 2. install replacement air cooled condensers, acc-1 & acc-2, and associated electric services. 3. install replacement freezers 133 bf and 134 sbf at specified location in drawings and provide associated refrigeration systems and piping and place into service. 4. replace refrigeration systems including evaporators and piping in existing freezers and coolers that are currently out of service and connect them to the replacement acc unit appropriately and place them back into service. 5. install replacement refrigeration piping to all remaining freezers and coolers, replace evaporators and make operational switching one unit at time to the associated replacement acc unit so that only one existing freezer or cooler is out of service at a time for the shortest period possible. 6. remove existing acc unit and associated electrical services. 7. all work shall be coordinated with facility operators. 8. each replacement system shall be tested and commissioned prior to being placed into service. The substantial completion date for this project is 695 day+90 days for final completion
