Remodeling of a detention facility in Kirkland, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the remodel of a detention facility.
The scope of services includes conducting a comprehensive assessment of the current booking area floor plan and evaluating its current utilization. The firm is expected to prepare interior space remodel bid documents for up to three existing rooms within the Kirkland City Jail's booking area. These documents, specifications and drawings will facilitate a procurement process for contract bids and building permits. Additionally, a thorough assessment of the floor plan of rooms scheduled for remodeling is required, with the firm preparing design documents sufficient for a construction firm to execute the renovations. These documents will be used in an invitation for bid process to solicit bids from contractors for the remodel. This RFQ is to solicit qualifications for a firm capable of collaborating with our Jail staff to plan and design renovations for up to three rooms within the Kirkland Jail. The City of Kirkland reserves the right to reject any and all Qualifications, and to waive irregularities and informalities in the submittal and evaluation process. Questions regarding the scope of work, RFP, and evaluation process must be submitted in writing and should be addressed to Jay Gewin (jgewin@kirklandwa.gov) The deadline to submit questions is 5:00 PM on February 19, 2024.
