Purpose of Procurement Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia by and on behalf of Kennesaw State University (KSU) is seeking to establish a contract(s) with a qualified supplier(s)/contactor(s) who will provide Fire Alarm Monitoring, Installation, Maintenance, and Repair services to Kennesaw State University (hereinafter, State Entity or KSU) as further described in this eRFP. Objective: Currently, KSUs Fire Alarm Panel Inventory consists of 118 units located on the Kennesaw and Marietta campuses. Contractor to provide services as specified in eRFP which shall include, but not necessarily be limited to monitoring and reporting fire alarm signals, inspecting, testing and performing appropriate repairs and maintenance on the associated communication equipment. Contractor to furnish all labor, materials, supplies, ancillary work equipment, such as protective gear and equipment necessary to provide the required services. Contractor required to be arrive on the job with their own equipment, including lifts as further specified in this eRFP. All services to be provided in accordance with the Georgia Fire Code, applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, manufacturers recommendations, and other requirements, regulations, codes, ordinances, and rulings applicable to the class of work/type of equipment. Contract Term: The initial term of the resultant contract is for one (1) year from the execution date of the contract. KSU shall have four (4) one (1) year option(s) to renew, which options shall be exercised at the sole discretion of KSU.
