Demolition, site work, new construction, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Hibbing, Minnesota. Notice is hereby given that the City of Hibbing of St. Louis County, Minnesota, is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and a Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified interested parties to provide Construction Management at Risk (CMaR) services for a Public Safety Building which includes the Fire, EMS, and Police departments. The project will either be a new Public Safety Building or a renovation of an existing facility with addition(s), both located within the City of Hibbing. The determination whether the City moves forward with a new facility or renovation with addition(s) will be determined through a feasibility study process with a selected architectural/design firm, the CMaR and the City of Hibbing. All questions regarding the RFP can be directed to Jesse Story at the City of Hibbing, 218-312-1571. No proposal will be accepted after the deadline for the receipt of proposals. The City of Hibbing reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or to waive any informalities, irregularities, or defects in any proposal, should it deem to be in the best interest of the City of Hibbing to do so. The deadline for such questions is 3:00 pm local time on February 16, 2024 - Questions about the RFQ or RFP can be directed to jessestory@hibbingmn.gov with the subject line "Hibbing Public Safety Building Project CMaR Solicitation - CMaR should anticipate working closely with the Architect/design team and the City during the feasibility study and facility assessment phase to provide constructive feedback, cost estimating, site analysis, schedule analysis and evaluation of the feasibility study as it relates to the construction or renovation of the facility. Feasibility study activities should be anticipated for a new public safety building and an existing renovation with addition(s) to provide the City with adequate information to facilitate a direction of the project.
