For the construction of: S.AP. 131-225-004 42nd STREET S.A.P. 131-195-004 34th STREET 10 LOCAL STREET SEGMENTS 2232.504 MILL BITUMINOUS SURFACE- 81,637 SY 2357.506 BITUMINOUS MATERIAL FOR TACK COAT- 12,245 GAL 2360.509 TYPE SP 9.5 WEAR COURSE MIXTURE (2,B)- 12,930 TON Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, bidders bond, or a cash deposit in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, which shall be forfeited to the City in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract. The City Council reserves the right to retain the deposit of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date and time set for the opening of the bids. NO BIDS will be received after the specified hour and date. Any such bids received will be returned unopened. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities therein and further reserves the right to award the contract to the best interest of the city. *Document notes : Paper copies of the proposal forms Plans and Specifications, may obtain them from the Office of the City Engineer, Jesse M.
