GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified CONSULTANT for Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services. CONSULTANT to provide contract administration, inspection and materials sampling and oversite for the project known as Alico Road Connector Phase I, II & III. BACKGROUND Provide services as defined in this Scope of Services, the referenced manuals, and procedures: Financial Project No: N/A COUNTY Project No.: 9245 Descriptions: Alico Road Connector Phase I, II & III County: Lee Serve as the COUNTY's representative on the project and faithfully represent the COUNTY's interest in all matters, with special emphasis given to issues involving public safety, quality, timely completion of the work, and financial responsibility. Exercise independent professional judgment in performing obligations and responsibilities under this Agreement. Pursuant to Section 4.1.5 of the Construction Project Administration Manual (CPAM), the authority of the Consultant's lead person, such as the Senior Project Engineer, and the Consultant's Project Administrator shall be identical to the COUNTY's Department Director and Project Administrator respectively and shall be interpreted as such. On a single Construction Contract, it is a conflict of interest for a professional firm to receive compensation from both the COUNTY and the CONTRACTOR either directly or indirectly. Other projects developing within the geographical area of Lee County may be added at the COUNTY's discretion. The CONSULTANT must perform to the satisfaction of the COUNTY's representatives for consideration of additional CEI services. DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK The CONSULTANT shall be responsible for providing CEI services and oversight of the Project and CONTRACTOR selected to construct and commission the Alico Road Connector Phase I, II & III. Lee County, Florida, is requesting proposals from qualified individuals/firms for CN240166BAG Alico Connector CEI Purpose of selecting a vendor to furnish; all necessary labor, services, materials, equipment, tools, consumables, transportation, skills and incidentals required for Lee County, Florida, in conformance with proposal documents, which include technical specifications and/or a scope of work. Those individuals/firms interested in being considered are instructed to submit, in accordance with specifications, their proposals, pertinent to this project No Pre-proposal Conference is scheduled at this time It has been determined that the specifications and scope of work within this solicitation are adequate to describe the product or services being requested. A pre-proposal conference and site visit has not been scheduled for this solicitation. The term of this Agreement is anticipated be 64 months from the time of award. The Agreement is to remain in effect for one year following the final completion of construction work associated with this solicitation and Agreement package. Proposers shall submit one (1) original hard copy (clearly marked as such) and one (1) electronic version on a USB flash drive set(s) containing the proposal submittal in an unlocked PDF format. The County may request specific files be submitted in specialty format (IE: Provide a Project Timeline in Excel format.) Vendor shall accommodate such specialty requests as stated within the submittal requirements describe herein. Should files not be provided in the format or quantity as requested Vendor may be deemed non-Responsive and therefore ineligible for award. In case of any discrepancies, the original will be considered by the County in evaluating the Proposal, and the electronic version is provided for the County's administrative convenience only. Limit the color and number of images to avoid unmanageable file sizes. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
