Remodeling of an educational facility in Junction, Utah. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 8,962-square-foot educational facility.

As of April 24, 2024 project was awarded to Tushar Contracting Inc, but awarded amount is not available. Project Scope: The existing gymnasium structure at Piute High School has a wooden stage framed weight room, office, storage room and two small mechanical mezzanines above that are to be selectively demolished and remodeled into a new expanded weight room with a new Teen Center mezzanine above, all of which are to be built within the existing gymnasium roof structure. Piute School District will demolish the existing mechanical mezzanines, and the main floor demolition is to be performed by the Contractor. The main floor remodel area (2,215 sq. ft.) includes a new expanded weight room, large storage room, and two stairway accesses to the new mezzanine. The new Teen Center mezzanine (2,266 sq. ft.) includes storage rooms, offices, restrooms, laundry room, and lounge space. The total remodel area (4,481 sq. ft.) will be constructed with wood framing and floor joists, and include a new concrete slab. Project Location: Piute High School, 555 N 100 W St, Junction, UT 84740 Mandatory Site/Pre-Proposal Meeting: Offeror must attend in person the mandatory site visit on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. We will meet at Piute High School, 555 N 100 W St, Junction, UT 84740. Mandatory site visits must be attended in person by an authorized representative of the person or vendor submitting a proposal. The meeting will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Any prospective offerors who arrive late to the meeting will not be allowed to continue with the site visit nor submit a proposal. Failure to attend the site visit shall result in the disqualification of any offeror that does not have an authorized representative attend the entire duration of the mandatory site visit. This includes not taking calls/text during the site visit. Phones may be used to take pictures. All discussion not related to the site visit must be done after the site visit as to not be a disturbance during the site visit. An attendance log will be maintained including the name of each attendee, the entity the attendee is representing, and the attendee's contact information, minutes of the site visit, and copies of any documents distributed by the conducting procurement unit to the attendees and shall be published as an addendum to the solicitation. Any verbal modifications made to any of the solicitation documents during the mandatory site visit shall be reduced to writing and will be published as an addendum to the solicitation. All questions must be directed to Dallas Sylvester, dallas.sylvester@piutek12.org and must be received by Friday, February 16, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. All questions must be submitted in writing and all questions with answers will be posted to U3P following the deadline for questions. TIME OF COMPLETION AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: The Contractor agrees to complete the work required by the contract in or prior to 150 calendar days from the start of construction to Proceed (this means total completion - with no outstanding punch list items): The district will anticipate that the Notice to Proceed will be issued by February 28, 2024. The parties mutually agree that the damages that may result from any delay in the completion of this work on each phase of the project by the time agreed upon will be difficult, if not impossible to ascertain. Therefore, if said time of completion of each phase of the project is not adhered to by the Contractor, plus any additional time which maybe be allowed by written extension signed by the Owner, the Contractor will pay to the Owner as fixed agreed liquidated damages and not as a penalty the following: Days of Delay Liquidated Damages per Day 0 to 14 $ 100.00 15 to 21 250.00 22 to 28 500.00 29 to more 1000.00 The project is to begin on March 4, 2024 and shall be completed by August 1, 2024. The Contractor agrees to complete the work required by the contract for the entire project (this means total completion with no outstanding punch list items).
