All questions regarding this RFP shall be submitted via email to Mary Joyce Ivers, Deputy Public Works Director, at mjivers@cityofventura.ca.gov PRIOR to Friday, February 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM The City of San Buenaventura is soliciting proposals from qualified Civil and Geotechnical Engineers to provide civil engineering design services and geotechnical engineering evaluation and recommendations for Hilltop Drive slope erosion and road stabilization due to winter storm events. This project is located on the median between the west and east bound Hilltop Drive between addresses 3281 and 3311. On January 9, 2023, mud and debris was reported on Hilltop Drive from the January storm event. Due to slope erosion, the stability of the pavement and road was undermined. The project will include site visits to confirm project boundary, obtain and review record utility maps and plans from utility providers within the project area, prepare project base maps with City provided topographic surveys, and geotechnical feasibility studies. Deliverables will include a preliminary report to review findings and recommendations for landscape vegetation slope stabilization, curb, and pavement repairs to determine selected repair methods, development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for the selected repair methods to stabilize the slope . Professional services required include feasibility analysis, geotechnical analysis, cost estimation, construction drawings, or project oversight. Optional: Funding sources for this project may include Federal funding sources. The successful firm will be required to comply with Federal procurement guidelines and environmental regulations. The CITY anticipates a total project cost for these services estimated at $60,000 for the potential Federally funded projects.
