As of April 5, 2024, the project was awarded to Ameron Construction, with an awarded amount of $1,621,046.80. Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Altoona, Department of Public Works, for the following project: Mansion Boulevard and Fort Roberdeau Streetscape and Stormwater Improvements Questions Due Date: Feb 23rd 2024, 12:00 PM EST Work performed on this project to be as per current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Publication 408, as amended and revised. Either an original Certified Check, Official Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the "City of Altoona" equal to ten (10%) percent of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal. Note that the Bid Bond must be in effect for a period of sixty (60) days from the bid opening date. Mayor and City Council reserve the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality not material to the bid and to award the contract as may be deemed to the best interest of the City of Altoona. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Work performed on this project will be subject to prevailing wage rates as established by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
