Renovation of a mixed-use development in Walker, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Project Description: Work shall include, but not be limited to the following: Replacement of existing unit ventilators, PTAC units and rooftop units for gymnasium, cafeteria, and classrooms. This project will also include two (2) added alternates. Alternate 1 is for Jackson Middle School which includes new rooftop units for gymnasium and hallway by front office. Alternate 2 is for Hamilton Middle School which includes new rooftop units for both gymnasiums. Project Estimated Schedule: Project awarded on or about February 27, 2024 and to be completed on or before August 2, 2024. The Contractor agrees that from the compensation otherwise paid, the Owner may retain a sum of $500 per day, for each day thereafter, Sundays and holidays included, that the work remains uncompleted, which sum is agreed upon as the proper measure of liquidated damages which the Owner will sustain per diem by the failure of the Contractor to complete the Work at the stipulated time, and the sum is not to be construed in any sense a penalty. All addenda become part of the Contract Documents. Include resultant cost in the Bid Amount. 2. Verbal answers are not binding on any party. 3. Clarifications requested by a Bidder must be submitted in writing to Shelby Wagner prior to 4:00 pm on February 9, 2024. The reply will be the form on an addendum, a copy of which will be forwarded to all Contractors who have downloaded Bid Documents from the Pickering Associates Planroom. 4. It is the responsibility of the Bidding Contractor to make all their Subcontractors aware of such addenda. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers to make selections from the bids that are solely in its own best interest.
