As of April 30, 2024 this project was awarded to Builders Paving, LLC, with the awarded amount of $5,348,024.03. The Work is called Willoughby Farms Section 1 Rehabilitation and shall consist of full depth reclamation and street resurfacing on Stonegate Road, Waverly Lane, Dorchester Avenue, Haverford Drive, White Oak Drive, Peach Tree Lane, Cloverdale Lane, Arbordale Lane, Fernwood Lane, White Oak Court, Cloverdale Court, Driftwood Court, Arbordale Court, Dorchester Court, Dellwood Court, Cedar Grove Court, Peach Tree Court, and Fernwood Court. The project will also include spot curb and gutter, sidewalk, and driveway replacement and utility rehabilitation. The project also includes a new on-street bike lane on Stonegate Road, an 8-foot wide shared-use path along the west and north sides of Willoughby Farms Park, drainage improvements, and landscape restoration. This contract calls for the construction of a "public works," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 821 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than current "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus amount for fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed.
