Perform preventive maintenance, improvements and repairs of the building management systems and all devices, equipment and network communication associated with the Building Management System. Work with City of Boston DoIt & Property Management Department to get remote access to all building sites on City Hall Network from City Hall and all City locations. The amount of such bid deposit shall be five percent (5%) of the value of the bid. Requests for interpretation or clarification, or proposals for any other modifications to the Bidding Documents, made orally or received less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the date of Bid opening will not be answered. The City of Boston minimum insurance requirements are listed below. The Contractor will provide and maintain during the term of the Contract all insurance required below with respect to performance of work under this Agreement by the Contractor and its agents, vendors, employees and subcontractors. Complete copies of policy and endorsements may be required.
The City may make reasonable modifications to requirements, if necessary, to reflect work performed. These requirements shall not be construed to limit the liability of the Contractor or its insurer. Failure to maintain such insurance throughout the Contract period will constitute a material breach of contract and be grounds for termination. Before submitting any bids, Bidders shall fully inform themselves in regard to all conditions pertaining to the Invitation for Bids and all required terms and conditions for carrying out the Contract. By filing a bid the Bidder thereby represents that he/she has been informed. Neither the City, not its officers, agents or employees, shall be responsible for the accuracy of, or bound by, such estimates, plans or information. In the employment of technicians in the performance of work under the Contract, the rate per hour of the wages paid to said worker shall not be less than the rate or rates of wages
determined by the Commissioner for the Department of Labor. A copy of the wage schedule as set by said Commissioner is attached in the Event. The contract shall commence on July 1, 2024 and ending June 30, 2027, subject to the availability of sufficient annual appropriations. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or parts thereof, if it is in the public interest to do so. The contract is subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Property Management and the Mayor of Boston. A contract award will be made within thirty (30) days of the bid due date. The City further reserves the right to waive minor informalities and/or reject any or all General Bids if it be in the public interest to so do.
